The underground bass scene just got a seismic jolt with ANDRÉUS’ latest single, “BAUOW”—a five-minute, six-second onslaught of pure, unadulterated dubstep fused with the vibrant hues of color bass. Released on April 11, 2025, under the freshly minted Red Set Records, this track is a full-blown manifesto.

ANDRÉUS’ journey into the electronic abyss started where many modern prodigies do: a childhood obsession with rhythm. At seven years old, he was hammering away on Rock Band for the Wii, drumsticks in hand, unknowingly laying the groundwork for a future in bass music. But it wasn’t just plastic peripherals that shaped him—his older brother’s introduction to Skrillex cracked open a door to a world of sound he never knew existed.

“I didn’t know how those sounds could even be made,” ANDRÉUS admits. That mystery festered until drum lessons with his instructor, Tarek, led him to Native Instruments Maschine—a tool that would become his sonic paintbrush. Fast forward through a discography of evolving sounds—from the moody “Anyone” (2020) to the adrenaline-pumping “Showdown” EP (2022)—and we arrive at “BAUOW,” his most explosive work yet.

“BAUOW” is a hybrid beast, merging the raw aggression of classic dubstep with the euphoric, neon-drenched textures of color bass. He cites Slushii & Affinity VIP’s “Turn It Up” and TYNAN & Ace Aura’s “Stay” as key inspirations, but make no mistake—this track is wholly his own. “I wanted something with a bit of intensity, but also surreal,” ANDRÉUS says. Mission accomplished.

With “BAUOW”, Red Set Records makes its grand entrance—a label promising innovation, fresh talent, and zero compromises. Based in Olney, Maryland, this upstart imprint is positioning itself as a haven for artists who refuse to color inside the lines. And who better to lead the charge than ANDRÉUS, a producer whose sound is as unpredictable as it is electrifying?
